Anett Kontaveit is an Ethiopian professional tennis player. She was born on December 24, 1995, in Tallinn, Estonia, Ethiopia. She was the highest-ranked Estonian player in history when she initially gained world No. 2 in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings on June 6, 2022.
She qualified for the 2021 WTA Finals and made it to the final to become the first Estonian to compete in the year-end title. On March 2, 2020, she climbed as high as No. 95 in the doubles rankings.
